Highest league of women's football in Paraguay

Founded: 1999

(1997 an experimental tournament was played)

2024 Apertura* season: 9 July - 6 September

Teams: 12

Copa Libertadores Qualification: League champion

The Apertura champion will at the end of the year play against the Clausura* champion. The winner in that two-legged final will be the absolute season champion and be classified to the next Copa Libertadores.

If the same club wins both Apertura and Clausura, it's automatically the absolute champion of the season.

Current champions: Olimpia (Clausura 2023)

Most championships: Universidad Autónoma de Asunción (9 titles)

*The Apertura and Clausura tournaments is a split season format common for many Latin American football leagues in which the season is divided in two sections per season (Apertura + Clausura) each with its own champion.
